Oakley Refurbishments · Leicestershire

Renovation that respects what is already there.

Full or partial reworking of existing buildings — from tired to considered. Period sensitivity where the house demands it, structural change handled by our engineers, across Leicester and the county. Trading as Oakley Refurbishments, part of Oakley Crafted Construction.

What we do

The kind of work where what is not done matters as much as what is.

A good refurbishment is invisible. It should look as though the house was always meant to be this way.

Renovation is the most personal work we do — you live in it while it changes. We plan around that, keep the site tidy and the communication clear, and treat older buildings with the care they ask for. Whether it is a full refurbishment of a Victorian terrace in Leicester or the reconfiguration of a village home near Cosby, the discipline is the same: understand the building first, then improve it.

What this covers

Refurbishment, whole or in part.

I.

Full house refurbishment

Top-to-bottom renovation, coordinated as one project under one site manager.

II.

Period property renovation

Sympathetic work to older and listed-adjacent buildings, with the right materials.

III.

Structural alterations

Knock-throughs, steels and openings, designed and signed off by our engineers.

IV.

Kitchens & bathrooms

Considered rooms, properly built — not just fitted, but reworked to suit the space.

V.

Reconfiguration

Rethinking how a home flows, so it works for the way you actually live.

VI.

Barn & building conversions

Turning redundant buildings into homes, with planning handled end to end.

Our approach

Understand the building first.

We do not compromise the specification to win on price, and we do not disappear after handover.

Older buildings hold surprises, and a refurbishment quote that ignores them is a quote you cannot trust. We survey properly, flag the risks honestly, and give you a realistic budget framework before design begins. Twelve months of aftercare is included on every project, longer for structural work. The relationship does not end when the scaffold comes down.

Common questions

Questions we’re often asked.

Do you take on full house renovations?

Yes, whole-house or partial. We coordinate the entire project under one named site manager.

Do you work on period properties?

Yes, with the sympathy and correct materials older buildings need. Structural changes are designed and signed off by our engineers.

Can we live in the property during the works?

Often yes, depending on scope. We plan around it and keep the site tidy and communication clear.

How do you price a renovation?

We survey properly, flag the risks older buildings can hide, and give a realistic budget framework before any design begins.
